Frequently Asked Questions

When did you start working out?
I started training at the age of 14, but didn’t take it 100% seriously until April 2010

Where do you train?

I currently train at Esporta in Cwmbran

What supplements do you take?

I keep my supplements very basic, the main thing when training is to have a solid diet!  I currently take the following (I’ve not listed brands as I like to change up)

-Whey Proetin Isolate
-Creatine Monohydrate
-Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA’s)
-Nitric Oxide booster (N.O.)
-Green Tea extract
-Hemp Oil
-Multi-vitamin

When do you take these supplements

On waking up:

1scoop Whey

15g Hemp Oil

Pre-workout:

1scoop N.O

10g BCAA’s

5g Creatine

Post-workout:

2scoop Whey

5g Creatine

Just before bed

1scoop Whey

——-

Multi-vitamin and Green Tea are taken with breakfast, then Green Tea is taken again with dinner

Do you take steroids?

No! I have never taken any illegal substances, and I plan on keeping it that way.  Thanks for the compliment though ;)

How often do you workout?

Too much you could say haha.  I try to train at least 5 times a week, doing cardio in the morning and then weights a few hours after (this is only if I’m on my “cutting” phase, if I’m “bulking” I don’t do the morning cardio).

What does your training routine look like

I change my routine up every so often so it doesn’t become boring.  Currently looks like…

Monday - Chest / Abs

Tuesday - Legs

Wednesday - Back / Abs

Thursday - Rest

Friday - Shoulders / Abs

Saturday - Arms / Calves

Sunday - Rest

I will not be putting my actual routine up in the FAQ as it changes too often.  However those days are pretty much set in stone.

Are there any websites I should look at?

Yes! I cannot emphasise enough how influential http://www.bodybuilding.com was to me!  Don’t think it’s just about bodybuilding either, there’s TONNES of articles on there about dieting and weight loss too!

Who are your favourite bodybuilders/fitness icons?

In no particular order…

Phil Heath
Frank Zane
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Greg Plitt
Flex Wheeler
Andy Haman

Will you ever compete?

I have my first contest in October 2012, it’s the NPA (Natural Physique Association) Mike Williams Classic.

Any training advice you can give me?

Take a multi and lift heavy
